Client Process
I want to help my clients reach their targets and goals for their business, and great design is a great place to start.
My process allows me to gain a deeper understanding of my client and their business which helps me create something they will love and unique to them.
It also provides transparency so my clients know exactly how I work and how the project will progress from start to finish.
-
Typically, this is a 30min chat to find out more about the project, timeframes deliverables and budget. Most of the times these are all agreed on this call. This call also helps to see if I’m good fit for the project.
-
You will receive the project proposal outlining what to expect from the project. Once happy and signed off you will receive the contract and 75% deposit invoice. No work will begin until these are signed and paid.
-
Once invoice and contract are paid and signed, we will jump on another call to discuss the project in more detail. I will get to know more about you and the business values, target audience etc. This is where we will build the project brief by me taking you through the project questionnaire.
-
Once the brief has been built, I will begin my design process. See my process below.
-
Once I have a design concept, I feel matches the brief we built together we will jump on a zoom call where I will present it taking you through my thought process.
-
I hope I will nail the design and you love it, but on occasions when its not quite right there is always room for feedback. Depending on the feedback I will either present it again via zoom or email.
-
Once you’re 100% happy with the design you will receive the final invoice, when that’s paid, I will get the design sent over to you immediately in an organised folder system via an online portal. But this won’t be the end of our relationship I like to check in on my clients every few months to see how things are going.
My Design Process
Brief and research
The brief allows me to fully understand your business, I can then pull out key words that best describes your brand. I then research your market, competitors and target audience.
Work mapping
With the research done and keywords established, I start my word-mapping process. I find word mapping extremely helpful in generating ideas by taking these keywords and finding related and supporting words.
sketches / ideas
When I’m happy with the directions the word mapping has taken me and ideas are flowing I then start sketching. I do quick sketches to get my ideas down, then once I have strong ideas i move to my computer a develop the idea further.
Design development
This is the stage where I will develop my strongest idea further by adding type and colours. After I’ve finalised the design, type and colours, I’ll create industry specific mock ups showing you how this design would work in the real world and get ready for the presentation.
Final
Once you’re 100% happy and have approved the design, you will receive the final invoice after that’s paid I’ll send you the link to your new visual identity
